he tells ktvu he was devastated by the fire. firefighters say this fire may have been started intentionally. we saw investigators going through the scene with a device that could help them figure out exactly how this fire started. a sniffing device can detect accelerants. crews were able to confine the fire to the waiting area and knock to down within about 15 minutes and that should help in the investigation. >> because sometimes it's very difficult to locate and, you know, figure out how these things start. but, again, like i said, because we were able to do a very efficient job, it makes it easier for them to do an efficient job as well. >> reporter: in 2010, i covered a fire at the solano county court building across the street. investigators were able to find two suspects in that case. now, in this case, one of the things that may well help this investigation are those surveillance cameras up there on the building directly across the street. as you take a look over here, you may see they would probably have a very good view
